The Tragedy of Macbeth is an upcoming film written and directed by Joel Coen and the most important thing to note that this is the first film that will be directed by only one of the Coen brothers, and without the involvement of the other. The trailer of the film has been just out, it looks a heavy themed film, which we see from A24 quite often. The Cast includes the Academy winning, Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand along with with Corey Hawkins, Brendon Gleeson and Harry Melling.

Summary of "The Tragedy of Macbeth"
Macbeth is a general and loyal to the king Duncan. But 3 witches, who make prophecy about Macbeth tell him, that he is soon going to be on throne and be a king instead of Duncan. He is reluctant to that idea at first but as time passes, he gets more and more power and realises that the dream of becoming the king might not be impossible at all. His aspirations are high. But Lady Macbeth is even more ambitious, she, through her cunning persuasion convinces Macbeth to slain the king and take his position.
Though Macbeth is uncertain, Lady Macbeth suffers none of the uncertainty. Both of them, get the guards of the king drunk, so that the king would be defenseless at night. Macbeth kills the King in his sleep, defenseless. In the morning he even kills the guards putting all blame on them. Duncan’s sons Malcom and Donalbain, flee from there, fearing that whoever have killed the king might be after them too. So with this situation, Macbeth is crowned, without competition and without any opposition.
The witches had made a prophecy to Macbeth that, Banquo’s son Fleance will become the heir of the throne. Banquo is a loyal general of Duncan. He do not posses the ambition and is loyal to king no matter what. Fearing the witches’ prophecy Macbeth attacks both father and son, Banquo and Fleance. Banquo dies and Flease is fleed alive. Macbeth becomes angry as long as Fleance is alive, he is afraid of his power remains insecure and then later that night, he sees the ghost of died banquo.
Frightened, Macbeth goes to visit the witches. There they beware him of nobleman Macduff, who is strongly opposed to Macbeth’s rise to throne. But when he came to know that Macduff has fled to England to join Malcolm, Macbeth orders that his castle must be seized and, most cruelly, that Lady Macduff and her children be murdered as soon as possible.
Macduff is stricken with grief and furious anger, together with Malcom, son of Duncan, he creates an army to face Macbeth. Lady Macbeth, meanwhile, also feels guilt of her crimes, she sleepwalks and have bloody hallucinations. He knows that the opposing army is arriving and at the same time gets the news the Lady Macbeth has killed herself. Feared, numbed, guilt striken he accepts his fate. And also believes witches prophecy to be true.
The battle happens, Macbeth, even though knows that the opposition is much more stronger than his, still fights violently. But eventually he is killed by Macduff and the descendants of Banquo became kings. The prophecy of witches is turned true!
